This is me with the first sleuth of bears which came to live with me.

From the back there is Little Ted who has come from parts unknown, Mrs Lace is possibly a William J Terry bear and Monty is a blue Chiltern. In the front is Boris the bear cub and Mr Cinnamon, who are both Steiff, and me, Francis F!!!

This picture was taken when we were awaiting the arrival of a new friend (who is pictures behind us). You will hear more about him later!

The next bears to come to live with us are in this picture and the centre of attention is Buster, a 1920’s American bear. He is very friendly and is very curious of the camera. He loves to get in on a photograph and you often see him popping up in the back of pictures.

In front of him is Sybil, an old retired bear of unknown origin. She is well loved and delicate but has a loving character all of her own.

There is also a well hidden black Steiff replica of an early bear. Can you see him?

This is him! Mr Jiggs is a 1908 Steiff complete with his own ear button. He is 16 inches tall and has blonde hair.

He enjoys reading and collecting flowers and wears his lovely red coat wherever he goes.

Mr Jiggs was the first new bear to arrive at the house for a number of years and he is quite the father figure to the others who have come to live with me.

This is Mr Jiggs with some of his new friends. On the left is Mr Waffles, who is a 1905 or 1906 Steiff bear and due to his age he always wraps up in his lovely scarf, which he pins together with a ‘Bear Brand Honey’ badge. He is 13 inches tall.

Ambrose is holding his favourite ‘Bear Brand Honey’ jar where he keeps his pennies. He is 12 inches tall, and a 1908 Steiff with an ear button, although he had to have the pads on his feet replaced.

Finally, Mr Melvyn is a 1908 Steiff who is 10 inches tall. He also likes to wear a scarf.

Although he is also a penguin, Mr Pickwick is also a Steiff and is especially proud of his orange ribbon and special hat.
